Joy Kauffman, President
Joy Kauffman is passionate about health, hunger and healing. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Public Health and holds a BS in International Nutrition. She is a graduate of the National Soy Research Laboratory, International Soy program and a Master Gardener through University of Illinois. Most recently she developed "From the Ground Up", a local foods movement, and was a Presidential Management Fellow and developed "Insure Kids Now" with the US Department of Health and Human Services in Washington DC. She's the Board President of Crossroads High School and founder of FARM STEW.
Ron Scott, Treasurer
Ron has been has a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University. He is a retired engineer, having worked for 40 years at Caterpillar, Inc., designing research instrumentation. He is active in many community organizations including the Bradford Lions Club, Assistant Scout Master for the Bradford Boy Scouts, Western Bureau County Food Pantry board member, and elder and Sunday school teacher at Bunker Hill Church in Buda. When he can get away from his other responsibilities, he enjoys flying and bird watching.
Nina Irizarry, Secretary
Nina grew up in Tiskilwa, attending Tiskilwa Grade School and Tiskilwa High School. After graduation she served in the Navy for four years as a Hospital Corpsmen. After her years of service, she attended college to become a registered nurse. In May of 2015, she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree. She works full time at Perry Memorial Hospital as a house supervisor and part time at In Home Care VNA as a skilled nurse. She and her family are members of New Hope Church of the Nazarene in Princeton.
Bob Baker, Member
Bob has a B.A. from Monmouth College and completed graduate work through the National Science and Mathematics Institute. He taught 17 years at Malden High School, 13 years at Princeton High School, 1 year at Temple Christian Academy, Moline, IL, and 1 year at Tiskilwa High School before its annexation with Princeton. He is on the board of Kasbeer Community Church and is a Gideon. He is active with We the People Tea Party of Bureau County. Bob enjoys golf and travel and resides in Princeton with Sharon, his wife of 42 years.
Dana VanAutreve, Member
Dana is is married to Jeff VanAutreve, with whom she has owned and operated Johnsons Carpet Shoppe, Inc., for the past 20 years. They have two adult children, both who attended a Christian school the majority of their school years. Because of Dana's love for her Lord and her family, which now includes four grandchildren, and the responsibilities of owning their own business, her hobby time is limited. When time allows, quilting and reading are her favorites. Jeff and Dana are also building a Second Story Youth Center above their store. Learning and growing in communication with young adults of this current world is a challenge, but it is a vision the Lord has placed on their hearts along with others of our community. They attend The People's Church in Princeton but thoroughly enjoy working with many churches of the county wide community in conjunction with Second Story.
Pastor Michael Freeman, Member
Pastor Mike has been a pastor for approximately 8 years and currently serves at First Baptist Church of Oglesby, Illinois. He was saved in 1992 while listening to Christian radio. He has a Bachelor of Science in biblical studies from Moody Bible Institute of Chicago and a Master of Divinity in Christian Counseling. He's working on his doctorate degree in Ministry. He has ministered and helped to plant a church in Kenya. He is married to Anna and thanks the Lord for her sacrificial love. They have three daughters: Sarah, Beth and Abigail.
