Individual Course Offerings
Crossroads offers individual courses to home schoolers to supplement their home studies. Junior high and high school students join Crossroads students in the classroom. They should expect schoolwork to do at home as well. All students receive a grade and those who complete high school level classes receive high school credit. Students keep their books at the end of the course.
A list of individual courses being offered for the upcoming school year will be available on this web site in June.
Before enrolling in classes, a prospective student must follow an admission process similar to that of full time students. Admission to CHS is based on a clear understanding of purposes and policies between the school and parents as valued partners in their child's education. It is essential to a positive learning environment that parents and students agree with the direction and guidelines of the school. CHS strongly recommends parents and students read the Parent/Student Handbook in its entirety.
To apply to CHS for individual classes, families must complete an Individual Class Registration form, sign a Parent Cooperation Agreement for Individual Classes, and submit a letter of reference(See links to forms below). An interview with student and parents is required before admittance.
Crossroads High School admits students of any race, color, and ethnic origin to all the rights, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
CHS reserves the right to admit students on the basis of academic performance, religious commitment, lifestyle choices, and personal qualifications. Students might not be accepted if they have been expelled, or were required to withdraw from another school, public or private. Students who wish to enroll as first time seniors must have a strong academic record and submit references attesting to their consistent Christian walk and personal maturity. The staff of CHS does not have training or resources to accommodate students with moderate to severe special needs at this time.
